And yes I'll miss him he was all of the above but he was also fair
to deal with an odd combination was he but a good friend.

| Uwe Meyer was the adventurer, nature photographer. computer whiz and
friend who with kayak and camera was drawn inexorably to the wilderness,
to the highest mountains, to the treacherously stormy outer West Coast,
and to turbulent white water of British Columbia's swollen rivers.
In addition to the addictive rushes of adrenaline, Uwe was rewarded with a most impressive collection of photographs of Nature in the Raw - shot both in wilderness areas, and from vantage points above Wreck Beach - each detail in perfect focus. On the front page of this morning's Vancouver Sun five awful words caught my eye; "Kayaking victim a noted photographer."
