He introduced us to BC and Vancouver in his very own way.
He most definetely was a " Hans Dampf in allen Gassen, Lebenskuenstler, (liebenswerter) Narr " but nevertheless a loving and caring human being.  We were stunned, to hear about his undeserved tragic end. Uwe we miss you.

He used to play wild games, he knew about the risks he took.

I bet he has an interesting life. Kayaking was one of his passions and somehow I think, if he would have had a choice,  he would not have had chosen another
end for himself. 

Uwe, you have a special place in our memory.
